IronMark Electricity Distribution Company PLC is a Nigerian electricity company building an integrated power business across the value chain: renewable generation, battery storage, electricity supply and distribution, power trading and transmission infrastructure.
Too many homes and businesses in Edo State still depend on diesel generators and unreliable supply. Our first project, a 20MW solar plant with battery storage in Ekpoma, is designed to change that for Ekpoma and the wider Edo Central community, and to anchor a growing portfolio of clean power across the state.

The project
The Ekpoma project combines a ground-mounted solar plant with a battery storage system that holds about four hours of full output. Together they will deliver clean, round-the-clock electricity to an estimated 25,000 to 35,000 homes and businesses, reducing dependence on diesel generators and lowering energy costs for households, SMEs and institutions.
The partnership
Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, is the proposed institutional partner, bringing the project site and an anchor community of staff and students. The partnership is designed to create shared value through better power on campus, research opportunities, internships and technical training. G-Win Consultancy Enterprises serves as strategic electricity market consultant, and IronMark works with international technical and EPC partners.
